My Royal Application is an enterprise-grade employee management system designed to unify daily workforce operations into a single, accessible platform. The project was developed through close collaboration with multiple departments across a large organisation, ensuring the solution was built around real needs, not assumptions.

 

The engagement involved structured meetings with each department head, creating a shared understanding of the platform’s vision and securing alignment at every level of the organisation before development began.

I collaborated with various departments within a company that employs thousands of people and held meetings with each department head to ensure the vision was clearly communicated. Not only that, but I also found that baby boomers were too comfortable using conventional tools, so they had to adapt to modern technology.

/ Objectives

  • Unify employee management, leave requests, and document tracking into one platform.
  • Align all department heads to a single, coherent product vision.
  • Design an interface accessible to both digital natives and legacy tool users.
  • Reduce friction in daily workflows for thousands of employees.
  • Support organisational scalability as the company continues to grow.

/ Final Outcome

Through well-structured collaboration with each department head, the My Royal Application succeeded in bringing attendance, leaves, documentation, payroll, and team management all into one mobile application that is used company-wide. The application was developed using patterns and copy that would allow Baby Boomer employees to transition from traditional tools to the application, and was developed right from the start to be scalable across the entire Webtel group including Royal Corp, ACA, BCP, and CAM.
